Poll & Economic Data Correspondent, Asia, Reuters News
Sep 2012 to Present
Part of the Reuters polls team in Editorial responsible for writing and editing stories, polls/analysis across various asset classes such as Foreign exchange, Stocks, Economic indicators, Long term economic outlook and home prices in Asia. The majority of my role involved liaising with Asian bureaus for poll coverage of economic indicators and central banks while also ensuring the stories feed into the global economics file. I continued as an editorial stakeholder for a economic poll database project in which my key responsibilities were to oversee smooth development and implementation of the software front end to better editorial workflow. I had to provide insight on news workflow, ideal overhaul solution, guidance to technology about road blocks, suggest workarounds and identify operation risks in the project.
