As Investment Strategist at ICICI Bank Private Banking, my work here includes: ● Analyzing the emerging trends in various asset classes (fixed income, equity, forex and commodities in general) to form a forward looking view. Preparing adhoc reports on important events happening across global markets which can have implications on various asset classes. ● Credit analysis of investment grade and high yield bonds, constantly reviewing the bond portfolio and preparing credit reports on the entities covered. Constantly identifying new fixed income investment opportunities and assigning a suitable risk profile as per internal methodology. ● Analyzing new products getting launched with respect to their appropriateness in current market context, preparing research note on the products and also assigning a suitable risk profile. ● Reviewing existing products constantly for their relevance, change in the product’s strategy if any or underperformance which may call for a change in the view on the product. ● Working on IMAP (ICICI Bank Mutual Fund Analysis and Performance Rating) which provides a relative ranking of mutual fund schemes as compared to their respective peer group in each scheme category based on certain carefully selected parameters. ● Constantly interacting with relationship managers, investment advisors & clients to convince them of the house calls (investment strategy) and understanding their requirements. ● Periodically undertaking training of teams on changes in taxation and impact on various asset classes.
