Short Biography

Started with Bachelors in Technology in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and soon after my bachelors I got a scholarship from Michelin Tires and Government of France to pursue a Masters in Industrial Systems and Logistics from France. After the two year course, I started my career into Industrial Engineering in Michelin Tires greenfield project in India. Got an intensive training in Industrial Engineering in manufacturing facility in Spain for 1.5 years before coming once again back to India and help Michelin ramp up the production facility in Chennai. Both these international exposures gave me a chance to be fluent in two widely spoken languages: French and Spanish. After working my career up from Project Industrial Engineer to Senior Industrial Engineer to being offered a Continuous improvement manager position in Michelin to lead a team of 10 engineers. But at the same time got an amazing opportunity to work with Walmart in Bangalore. Decided to give it a shot and it has turned up quite well now. For first two years at Walmart, I worked as a Project Manager II / Senior Strategy Expert with Walmart (Labs) in the Data and Analytics team. As a part of my job I have had chance to travel intensively on projects to US and Chile. I helped these markets setup the engineered time standards from scratch needed to calculate the exact and optimum labour in their stores. After this process engineering stint, I worked in analytics space within the same team looking at projects like defining the promotional strategy for Canada Walmart stores, post forecasting analytics, supply chain optimisation. I finally moved on to my current role as a Product Manager in the Global Data and Analytics Platforms team specifically in Supply Chain domain within Walmart where we develop analytics products for internal consumption in company.
