Cinema is not only my passion but also my greatest obsession. Cinema is a way of life: for some it is a mere means of indulgence, while for others it is a profound medium to satiate the intellect. It’s omnipresence gives it the enormous potential to entertain and educate, simultaneously. I feel cinema is the most effective means of communication ever devised, for the message reaches everywhere and to everyone. I am dedicated to the task of propagating the power of cinema to the nook and the corners of the globe with the aim of acquainting the masses with the realm of cinema, especially as the ultimate medium of human expression. I passionately and acutely analyze films, dissect them and critically examine them, bit by bit and simultaneously as a whole. I love to put spotlight on films—art house, classic, indie, cult, or obscure—through the means of my reviews, essays, critiques, etc. published at my blog and other forums/platforms. My education spans science, technology and management. My all-time favorite movie-makers are Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Luis Bunuel, Andrei Tarkovsky, Charles Chaplin, Orson Welles, Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman, Satyajit Ray, Fritz Lang, Sergio Leone, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and Lars von Trier.
