My penchant for building scalable products along the lines of emerging technologies, market trends and customer behaviors have kindled a great passion for demystifying future to comprehend the world that does not exist yet to identify probable opportunities and threats. I have a very simple goal, when I look back at my career I should be proud of the products that I have built.

During my 7+ years of PM career, I have managed products across all stages of the product lifecycle (concept/launch, maturity, sunset). I had conceptualized, built and launched an appliance (SCE10000) and 1st virtualized DPI product (vSCE). Later, I owned another DPI technology called AVC (Application Visibility and Control) for the enterprise market segment, evolving and introducing it across a wider portfolio of routing/switching/wireless products facilitating customers to create a truly application-aware network.

I am currently mentoring and leading a leading a team of PMs responsible for the execution of SW strategy of Enterprise Switching products and SD Access that fuels Intent Based Networking (IBN). Yet, the quest to build better and meaningful products has not decimated a bit.

• Strong product vision and strategy backed by flawless execution ensuring what I do today will contribute to where I would like the product to head tomorrow

• Don’t blindly chase competition

• Go past the immediate (latent) needs of customers and identify how those needs could evolve with changes in end-user behaviors and evolution of technology

• Don’t ever attempt perfection of the entire product, deliver awesomeness on elements that influence customers to ask for more.

If you don’t find me doing above, I will be busy behind the wheels, vacation by road trip is extremely rejuvenating.

Cisco Enterprise Switching and SD-Access (Nov '17 - Till Date) Enterprise Switching is changing the way how customers deploy, operate and manage their campus networks through SD-Access (Intent Based Networking) • Mentoring and leading a team of PMs responsible for the execution of SW strategy. Realigning investments as needed • Evaluating niche markets for solutions such as AVB/PTPv2 Cisco Application Visibility and Control (July '15 - Oct '17) AVC is our flagship technology for application awareness delivering around $200M in revenue across a wider portfolio of enterprise products (including routing, switching, and wireless). I collaborated with PMs of wireless, switching and routing BU guiding them on discovering solutions and evolving AVC technology facilitating customers create a truly application-aware network. • Increased attach rate for AVC license through significant contribution to solutions SD-WAN, Analytics, Security, and Application Performance • Launched AVC on Catalyst Switching portfolio - Indigenous effort - A key differentiator • Delivered a cloud service for consistent user experience and operational simplicity • Partner management – Created an eco-system of partners to build solutions around analytics, billing, and security Cisco Service Control Engine (Oct '10 - June '15) Cisco SCE is a DPI product primarily targeted for Service Provider market with a revenue potential of around $40M - $50M. I had the responsibility to manage entire SCE product line and with a geo responsibility of EMEAR. • Conceptualized, built and launched an appliance (SCE10000) and 1st virtual DPI product (vSCE) • Created common DPI platform providing almost 100% margins on the virtual product line • A new revenue model based on consumption (Pay as you grow - SaaS) for virtual products • Evangelized vSCE internally to set the ball rolling for NFV/SDN solutions (vGi-LAN) • Conceptualized light-weight orchestrator for instantiation and on-demand scaling (elasticity)
