Abuse Fighting: As a Trust and Safety Data Analyst, I am responsible for protecting the integrity of Google Maps. Using the world of analytics, I fight fraud on Maps at scale and ensure Maps is free of fraudulent activity by analysing fraud, account-related abuse, questionable business practices, violations of Google's policies, and general misuse of our product. I also support Spam Fighting on new Geo product launches and help the team with SME knowledge. Incident Management: As an analyst on Google Maps, one of my major task is to ensure that the integrity of Maps is not compromised at times of major spam incidents inflicting a negative experience on the users. I coordinate with the PR team, policy team, engineering team and the analyst team to ensure Maps recovers from such spam incidents within a fixed SLA. I also help develop complex playbooks and corrective action slides for high-severity incidents to streamline response time and coordination among the multiple teams involved.
