Kgositsile Poonyane is an experienced figure in the marketing industry having held a wide variety of marketing positions in South Africa for over 13 years. His marketing experience cuts across industry sectors such as the financial services and telecommunications fields. He currently holds the position of Head of Consumer Marketing at PCCW Global. Kgositsile was the Marketing Manager for DStv Mobile and part of the team responsible for launching the service in South Africa, Mozambique, Uganda and Zambia. He later moved to DStv mother-brand as Marketing Manager for the DStv Top End segment, where he was responsible for all the Top End propositions; such as DStv Premium, Box Office, Catch-Up and Explora. Kgositsile was nominated individual and team achiever award while at Nedbank in 2009. In 2014 he worked on DStv campaigns that won ‘Advert of the month’ awards. Beyond the marketing portfolio, Kgositsile has also held the position of Account Director at Draft FCB for Tiger Brands, Adcock Ingram and Vodacom Youth Brands. As part of PCCW Global, Kgositsile continues to perform a wider function, that of expanding the company’s business with a focus on leading the consumer marketing team.
