Interview process is not just the interviewer assessing the candidate, but also an opportunity for candidate to observe and assess the company. Remember, company has slight interests in you, so just as you would want to put up your best, the company too would like to put up their best during interview. However its up to us to listen and observe carefully, things like :
1. Seating structure : Observe how Managers and Employees are seated ? If the organization has all Managers in one floor /side and employees in another, majorly such organisations would be hierarchical. Would you be comfortable joining such an organization ?
2. Observe employees : Observe employees, like their dress code, working mood, work ambience. You can sense the mood of the employees by their faces and
3. Try talking to few employees : See if you can talk to few employees in canteen to get a feel of culture. Of course limiting your questions and not directly asking about their boss or department.
4. Awards and Certificates : Look up for Awards and certificates the company has recently won and is proud of ! How recent are the awards presented. Is the company winning awards for quality, customer service thus making an assessment of company.
