Rather than enduring for long term results peer pressure’s him for immediate success. He might be driven by the perception of him by others. Many are driven by perception oriented activities rather by results oriented. He is also anxious and fearful not to fail.
Delegation of works:
A successful leader knows how to delegate his work. He should be both a people’s leader and objective in his work. To find the right person for the right work and to grant him right authority and independence to carry out the work is the most important trait a leader must possess. A leader has to be catalyst without participating in the reaction but has to speed up the reaction. By delegating a leader can free him of the less prioritized works and can concentrate on his core capabilities.
A period of uncertainty:
The world has entered into fourth industrial revolution. The things are changing so rapidly. What was popular years before has become obsolete today. In these trying times, leaders have to internalize lifelong learning to avoid the steep and immediate fall. One has to constantly scan for the new technologies, managerial styles and be mindful of his own actions to avoid the steep descend. A person’s attribute comes out only at the time of distress. Thus a leader should be more vigilant in these times of change.
Thus a leader should possess all the capabilities above mentioned and should stand above those challenges which bog him down to the ground. He should steer himself and others in the process. Times ahead are going to be stressful and outcome oriented thus peoples who aspire to those positions has to abide themselves to the laws and principles of the nature and strive hard to achieve it.
