Following the siege of Cambridge Analytica, media and foremost the common people shared their ‘relieved’ situation. However, the situation was not that relieving for the Cambridge Analytica employees.
Cambridge Analytica, the now-defunct political data firm, forced to shut down their wings because of losing ‘all’ of the customers. Commiserations did not end here as Justice Department and F.B.I continues investigating Cambridge Analytica.
As per New York Times, “Prosecutors have questioned potential witnesses in recent weeks, telling them that there is an open investigation into Cambridge Analytica — which worked on President Trump’s election and other Republican campaigns in 2016 — and associated U.S. persons.”
Apparently, the inquiry is at its early stage where the investigators are digging for the company details and their business practices.
Formally it is reported that the data firm harvested data from more than 50 million Facebook profiles that may play a crucial role in the American election. New York Times also claimed that it may have violated American election laws.
Cambridge Analytica, the Justice Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation declined to comment.
