1. Get to know your customers : If you have no knowledge of who your customers are or how they think, how are you supposed to give them the service or product that they’re looking for?
One of the best ways to do this is by writing out detailed customer profiles and listing up all the attributes that this person will have. For example, you might be a running website that markets running accessories and clothes to runners.
You could have a teenager who runs every morning. A mum who runs every day after she has dropped her kids off at school. You could have a marathon runner. The possibilities are endless but, by creating these profiles, you’ll be able to narrow down your target market, allowing you to market to them in the best way.
2. Identify where your customer stops: As your customers navigate your website, there are going to be times where their mind says, ‘OK, I don’t need this product or service’, or words to that effect. However, you need to identify these areas of your website so you can adjust them so this doesn’t happen.
3. Use images and videos: Using multimedia content is vital to the success of your content and, therefore, your business. However, have you ever considered how your images might directly influence your SEO ranking?
The important aspect of this point is that humans are naturally visual people and it’s in their psychology to respond in a certain way to images.
