Worked on development studies and operational aspects of multiple fields. key projects and description listed below: Project 1: Majnoon is one of the biggest oil field in the world and a multi-billion dollars flagship project operated by Shell since Dec 2009. The team in Bangalore is responsible for front end development studies as well as execution support in well operations. Summary: • Leader of Pore pressure prediction (PPP) Technical expert group as an Associate Subject Matter Expert (ASME). Responsible to perform PPP competence assessment for RE graduates in Shell Technology Center Bangalore • Solely responsible for delivering reservoir engineering related inputs in well proposal such as pre-drill PPP, pressure & fluid data acquisition and drilling risk mitigation for drilling of 5 new development wells • Reservoir Simulation and forecasting of multi-billion barrels carbonate oil reservoirs using tools like MoReS, HFPT, MBal etc Project 2: Darat is an onshore asset in Brunei consisting of multiple oil fields, with some wells drilled 80 years ago. Most of these wells have no further use and need to be abandoned as per the guidelines. I was temporarily relocated to Brunei on urgent request of BSP to support the identification and abandonment of these wells. Summary: • Presented the technical work while representing BSP in external meeting with EDPMO (Energy Department Prime Minister’s office) to seek approval for abandoning 18 wells • Delivered PPP for 7 abandonment wells and assisted well engineers in well abandonment planning (well design, logistics, optimization of rig movements etc.) including multiple well site visits
