A Retailer by Profession and Choice over the past 21 years, I have played a minuscule part in the Great Indian Retail story that is yet to be fully told. My first job was in 1997 to scoop Ice-Cream at Baskin Robbins’ first outlet in Chennai. Pursued my UG in Commerce, MBA in Marketing, PG Diploma in International Business and Executive Education from IIM Bangalore; have worked with RPG Retail, The Future Group, Bangalore International Airport, Café Coffee Day & Royal Enfield.
Key Highlights include: Designing, Leasing, Setting up and managing the Airport Retail Business at BIAL (2006) under the aegis of Zurich Airport. Signed up 140 cafes across the country for Café Coffee Day and established over 160 Dealerships for Royal Enfield across the country including Company operated stores.
Was recognized among Top 50 Retail Professionals in India in 2014 by Asia Retail Congress and a citation "Young Achiever Award" honoured by Vels University, India. Distinguished Faculty on Retail Management at IIT Madras, SRM University, Chennai Business School and many other Business Schools in Chennai and Bangalore.
I have managed multiple formats across various sizes & locations and experienced across most facets of Modern Domestic and International Retailing. My core skills include deep understanding of Consumer Behavior, approaching the Target Segment through focused Marketing and Communication, working with Internal and External stakeholders & agencies, P/L Responsibility, Employee Training and Customer Service.
