Working as Deputy Magistrate and Deputy Collector at Bolpur...my coming to this administrative service or any service, for that matter, has been an accident...a born philosopher and , perhaps, a born psychologist...I have a keen interest in meeting and knowing people and discovering them and their places. country and culture... have a diverse range of interests ....always dreamt of serving people the best way possible...it seems it's going to take shape through my writing and allied humanitarian services that may--God willing-- start soon...would really like to help people take decisions when the going gets tough for them...and , possibly guide them take life in their own stride...
Somewhere we are all one....and that somewhere, something, someone is the result of the absolutely pure network of truth and love ...this perhaps is God...it's like the result of million billion neural networks in the brain, the complex workings of which give rise to our consciousness....or it is like the subliminal workings of the billions of wireless computers and similar gadgets which give us all this access of linking in the vast web of internet, which, basically, is virtual...and also this network may have consciousness of its own.
Looking for proposals from publishers for publishing poetry collection and book of inspirational and motivational quotes . I may also be interested in working as a part time reviewer and/or editor for any websites, magazines, books and other forms of fiction and nonfiction writing.
I would more than welcome ... in fact, love exchange of thoughts , opinions and discussions on my original posts...or vice versa...
So friends...let's stay connected and do good to others....let's stay "linked in"...

Administrative Officer at Govt of West Bengal

Nov 2009 - Present

The service I belong to is premier among the services in the state. And being the administrative officer of the govt we are responsible for all kinds of developmental works, social or socio-economic schemes, projects or programmes, viz. social pensions, scholarships, housing schemes, Mid Day Meal , NREGA, Swachha Bharat Mission, caste and other certificates, etc. taken up and/or given by the govt, state or central. Being magistrates, we are also responsible for law and order related issues, and if situation arises we have to guide and direct the police present, for ensuring peace and tranquility and control over any untoward situations, which may arise out of some big rallies, public meeting, huge gathering, religious procession, murder or other sensitive issues. As magistrate we also sit in the court and pass necessary orders for maintaining peace and tranquility. and dispensing with public nuisance. We are also directly responsible for conduction of election and carrying out of different processes involved with it, every year, such as revision of electoral roll every year, issuance of EPIC to eligible voters, and other important works with EVMs etc, specially before the election year. Be it census or any other survey taken up by the govt, is finally done through us, we being personally responsible for the entire exercise. Even we are indirectly involved with the issuance of AADHAR . We need to actively monitor and supervise and also give logistics support for the progress of the work carried out by the third party whom the govt give contract . Last but not least, we often have to organise different fairs, campaigns, programmes and other events, which is akin to playing the role of an event organiser. These activities vary from something small to a big affair. To sum up this job is a real eye-opener and a hugely enriching one. If you need to know anything about how the govt function with respect to development , or how other constitutional bodies function, such as ECI, etc you are at the right place to knock on.

English teacher at Madhyamgram A. P. C. High School

Sep 2008 - Nov 2009

I used to teach english in the above govt -aided school.

English faculty, BPO faculty and soft skill development faculty at Franklyn Institute Of Language

Jun 2007 - Aug 2008

I used to train up students from different walks of life for developing english speaking skill and grooming them up for the jobs, primarily, in the corporate sector by suitably helping them alter their personality which could be compatible with the industry standards. All the students being from the non-english background, it was really challenging. Although, most of the students , as per their own feedback, benefited greatly . As BPO faculty I used to train up slightly advanced students for the BPO jobs which had a boom then.
